Laborhood Change Project, Inc is a unique player in the wellness industry, spear headed by Dr. Nicole Labor, taking an innovative approach to providing health and wellness services that focus on reducing the stigma of addiction, educating patients, families and the community. We provide evidence based education and innovative approaches to the treatment of substance use disorders. Substance Use Disorder is a chronic disease that can be managed. But management does not have to be limited to just abstaining from substances. Once the acute addiction is stabilized, individuals with SUD need to focus on applying wellness principles to ALL areas of their lives to improve their life experience and reduce the chances of relapse. Dr. Labor spends time educating healthcare professionals, churches, schools and community members on the disease of addiction and works to remove the stigma surrounding addiction. Many of her lectures have been unofficially recorded and are available on social media. She is known in the addiction community for helping to educate healthcare providers as well as patients and families on the disease of addiction in an understandable way. Dr. Labor seeks to dissolve the stigma around the disease and work with the community to promote healthy sober living.
